Happy Holidays!
2023 was filled to the brim with new adventures at Kidston. We welcomed a record-setting number of campers to our site, and it was a privilege to meet each and every one of them. Just like always, it was wonderful to hear laughter throughout camp, share in the joy and fun of new games and adventures, and listen to the echoes of camp songs across the lake.
We know that the world continues to change and impact our young people, and believe that the healing power of acceptance, belonging, faith, and play found at summer camp is needed now more than ever. We remain beyond grateful for the support of our extended community that continues to make this possible at Kidston.
Thank you for being a part of Kidston this year - we can't wait to see you again in 2024!
Our Year in Review
We welcomed over 400 campers to Kidston this year!
30 young adults developed their leadership skills and benefitted from meaningful summer employment at Kidston.
We had the honour of hosting a variety of school, church, non-profit, and professional rental groups at Kidston.
On our site, much-needed renovations and replacements have been completed. Two cabin roofs were replaced, program areas were updated, out-trip sites were cleared post-hurricane Fiona, and more!
Two new programs, Winter Camp and a 2SLGBTQ+ Youth Retreat, were added to Kidston's season.
Hundreds of volunteer hours have generously been shared by many people: at work parties, on committees, and on the Board.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support from each and everyone of you: camp families, staff, alumni, volunteers, and community members. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Fundraising Update
Thank you for your generous support of Kidston's most recent fundraising campaign, to ensure the future sustainability of Kidston. We have now surpassed $5,000 in donations, and will continue fundraising into the new year. Donations can be made at anytime via our online Canada Helps page located here.
We look forward to sharing updates in Spring 2024!
