Arthur Kidston Memorial Camp was established in 1966 by the Halifax Presbytery of the United Church of Canada. It is a year-round facility located on Long Lake. Camp Kidston is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Situated on over 500 acres of woods and water in the northeast corner of Halifax Regional Municipality, it is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

Our summer camps include:

•    Lakeside supervised swimming and water activities
•    Canoeing & Kayaking
•    Campfires and singing
•    Out-trips and outdoor living skills
•    Sports and games
•    Arts and crafts
•    Faith exploration program

To maintain the highest camping standards, Camp Kidston is accredited by both the United Church of Canada and the Camping Association of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Kidston welcomes and honours campers of all traditions, gender identities, faiths and walks of life.

All our summer staff are hired by the Board of Directors and undergo thorough screening and training to ensure our campers have the best camping experience possible.
